I’m sure by now you’ve seen the Victory logo on the right and, well, I’m about to drop the dreaded “sing/scream” moniker, so you might want to stop reading right here if those two factors are enough to raise your reservations and/or sneers. Yes, this is another Victory band employing the grunted verse / whined chorus formula, and yes, the music often relies on chugging hardcore clichés, soaring melodic pomposity and echoing guitar lines. It’s a polarizing sound that will test the patience of listeners who have already written this genre off, while fans of the contemporary sing/scream sound (post-hardcore pop?) will now have one more band name to add to the music section of their MySpace page.

Obvious buttholes. Thanks for being so easy to despise. What a Terrible Thing To Name Your Band. This band has the two worst cover art for their albums I've ever seen. Sounds like pure crap. This is one of the best reviews I've ever read on this site, well done sir. that artwork makes me wanna put a nail gun to my eyes. i award you no points, and may god have mercy on your souls. half a star for Fordirelifesake reference, no stars for everything else. I saw this on Itunes. Apparently people saw it on new releases. There are a bunch of comments bitching about the screaming. "Four Letter Lie are simply late to a game where they were probably only going to sit on the bench anyway." hey, i was suppose to review this! yaarrgh! LOL! at this fucking artwork. What a terrible thing to write, record, package and distribute. BOOOO. people still use myspace? Thats some mighty fine cover art... |
