The CarrierOne Year Later (2007)Rock Vegas Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: OverDefined (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on April 22nd 2008
There is almost no one who could listen to the Carrier's debut full-length, One Year Later, and say that it’s bad. It contains solid musicianship, great production and an overall confident feel. There is even a good grasp of personal voice shining through the clear American Nightmare and Modern Life Is War influences; however, it ultimately sounds like a band in training, just shy of reaching the dizzying heights they strive for.

Easily my favorite melodic hardcore band out now. Good review though the issues with the lyrics don't bother me as much as some people. I love this type of sound and can't wait for the 7" and the next full length. heard a lot of hype, saw em and was super unimpressed this review is dead on. you pretty much nailed all the high and low points that i thought of when i got this album. I was thinking the exact same thing about Shai Hulud, but this is really good. This band clearly has a huge Shai Hulud fetish, too. | Features
