Much like Spock, Superman and Jesus Christ, pop-punk won’t stay dead. The genre’s latest corpse slingers: The Leftovers and their album, On the Move. Delivering pop-punk in the vein of the Ergs!, Allister, MxPx and, ya know…the Ramones, On the Move recycles a ton of riffs and topics but still delivers everything all of the pinheads across America could possibly want.

Part of the reason this young band's music is so good is that they can effortlessly switch between pop punk & power pop. score is for the opening sentence. score is for the opening sentence. All of their stuff after Stop Drop Rock N Roll is really fun and infectious and I can't believe anyone wouldn't like it. But Stop Drop was one of my top 5 favorite pop punk albums ever.. I got this album used for $5 and its ok for the price that I paid but I honestly don’t listen to it all that often. I think the most interesting thing about this band is the lead singers freaky fro hair. haven't heard the album, but judging by a cd-r with these guys and some band called the hi-life that I got from no idea back in the day (last summer) it's really good. The songs were Dance with me, Lose yer head and Pick and choose Pretty solid. I prefer the 7 inch, but pop punk usually seems better in short doses. Baseball has it down. Solid as a rock but not the stuff of legend. Not an album that you'll be listening to years after, but definitely good, for pop punk. | Features
