Rogue Set must have taken a certain criticism to heart regarding their 2007 debut, The Elm City Shuffle. The album was a fitful spouting of competent and sincere punk rock, but it was so fucking long -- 8 songs and about 41 minutes. The band just didn’t have enough interesting ideas to carry on a song for five minutes apiece.

A great album overall, with a few absolutely incredible songs; listen to it a few times and you won't be able to stop. I only give it four and a half stars because I'm sure the best is yet to come from these guys. great album, definitely a step up from elm city (though that one rules too) As soon as I read Against Me! I just stop reading. They don't suck, I just don't dig that shit. Score is for the review. One of the best CT bands. ever. This and The Elm City Shuffle are two of my very top favourite albums of all time. To me, Rogue Set's music is just... perfect. Amazing lyrics, instrumentation and vocals... they've got the whole package. I get chills listening to most of the songs. I couldn't imagine giving this anything less than 5 million stars, but I guess 5 will do. | Features
