The 1980s Texas scene spawned some truly awesome and out-there bands such as Really Red, MDC, Butthole Surfers, and the Dicks, but Big Boys were the rulers of the roost. Led by the charismatic and often flamboyant frontman Chuck “Biscuits” Turner, Big Boys mixed hardcore, funk, pop, weirdness and everything in between to mold a masterpiece. One of the best albums ever by one of the best bands ever. Really that's all you can say about this subject. I consider Sound on Sound to be the first emo song. Predates Embrace and all that by several years. I wish more people like this band. im pretty sure the singers name was randy... not chuck. Underated indeed....truly origonal, and inspiring Its said alot about many bands but these guys were way ahead of their time. Agreed these guys are one of the best of the 80's although they ten to be forgotten. the enxt album 'no matter how long the line at the cafeteria" is even better. Big Boiz amirite? let's just pretend that this is a 50 cent review and complain anyway mikexdude i was just wondering that Where's the rap review? FACT; Big Boys are one of the 5 best bands of the '80s and 10 greatest bands ever. That, my friends, is some straight talk. | Features
