Often, I think as a reader that it is important for you to know the reviewer’s history listening to the band that they are writing about. I believe this helps one to get a feel if the subject is for them, and also so the reviewer is actually being honest, as in not pretending they are a know-it-all.

Whatever, dude! now i just listened to there debut album and its a hell of alot better than this , but still nowhere close to joy division or echo. to compare the two to this "indie" rock, is that what there calling this shit now?, is purely blasphamous. i remember when indie rock was great music that was totally out of the spectrum of mainstream music you know like dinosaur jr , the pogues, sonic youth, the meat puppets , the butthole surfers & fugazi , now we have unimaginative , unstructured garbage like this disguising itself as "indie" rock well for one i'm tired of thr ruse these bands do to the consumers today . oh yeah this goes out to all those "indie" bands who really are not STOP THE CHARADE!!!!!!! ...or not Nice Critique. this album is horriblle !!!! this is on a level of suck that has been previously occupied by nickelback, poison, dashboard confesional, real big fish & the all american rejects! i cant believe this band got signed by a label. people will listen to anything and go {not bad; kinda catchy} sorry NO ITS NOT!!!! i feel dumber for even listening to this steaming pile of shit . now i'm gonna have to go listen to some tusk & punch the neighbors dog to get back to reality after that tramatic experience I pretty well agree with the review i still don't understand why a bunch of indie sites were creaming over this band. Quite possibly the greatest band name, of all time. a couple years ago i listened to a concert session they did for CBC Radio 3, and i liked it but never really tracked down any of their stuff |
