Git SomeCosmic Rock (2008)1-2-3-4! Go Records Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Bryne (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on January 27th 2009
Full disclaimer: I wasn't a huge Planes Mistaken for Stars fan. I've only heard a song here and there and honestly, nothing about them really grabbed me. And yeah, I know, it takes a lot of time and patience to appreciate and 'get' a band as complex as Planes, but my heart was just never in it for whatever reason. Thus, my comparisons in this review could be way off-base. Sorry.

I don't like this record that much... but man how badass they are live!!! rock sucks. Probably the worst name in rock music. That said I haven't listened to this, so I don't know if the music would distract me from the name. I retract my Stones comment after having recently re-listening. Badass record. Rock music. there's more than a bit of drive like jehu influence here, and that's a fookin good thing! This is a dirty dish. Its like a punk version of the Stones. huge planes fan, but git some doesn't really do it for me. sure it's got the rock, but gared was always the heart of planes. looking forward to the hawks and doves full length. Like I said, you should really look into PMFS's older stuff. I can guarentee you'll like it. Couldn't get into this, but the Hawks and Doves 7" is pretty cool. | Features
