The Steal's debut album was a surprise highlight for British hardcore in 2006. Wearing its influences clearly on its sleeve, their Kid Dynamite-infused hardcore ripped through 14 tracks in just over 20 minutes. Fast-forward two years and only a handful of tour dates later, the Steal release their sophomore effort, Bright Grey, and musically little has changed. Recorded in just two days, anyone that loved the spontaneous urgency of the first record will not be disappointed; this is a whirlwind record from start to finish.

Meh. Not original enough for me. I wish there were more straight up bands like this One of the best hardcore records in 2008. I wish I got to see them when they came to the US. I wish there were more straight up bands like this. They are a side project of what other band(s)? rad record. so much fun live, im glad ive managed to see them 3 times even though they barely play. Cool, a review for a British band that aren't bad NME hipster indie or Lilly Allen i felt it was a little infectious than the s/t and a bit of a change in style. still great though Seems pretty cool. Fuck, I can't believe I didn't know these guys put out a second album. Dave House is the man, hands down. Fuck, I can't believe I didn't know these guys put out a second album. The s/t was so fucking good. I am now looking forward to hearing this. One of my favorite records of last year. So much energy, catchy as fuck and all with a great message. Not to mention the vinyl for the record is awesome! Das ist eine gute slint? I dunno, I thought this was pretty different from the s/t in that it's wayyyy more direct `80s hardcore. | Features
