The companion 7" to Tom Gabel's debut EP, Heart Burns, Anna Is a Stool Pigeon may actually be a bit better than the real thing.

you spell "favourite" like a "poseur" I don't think those lines are cheesy at all tom supports terrorism Is this supposed to be a review or a press release? Looks like the latter to me. Either way, this album was disappointing. needs more gayballs They should have just included the acoustic version, "I Can't See You But I Know You're There", and "Nuclear Cowboys In An Age Of Drift" (which he recorded but hasn't yet released) on the original version of Heart Burns to make a solid ten tracks. This record was at Hot Topic. Random Hearts is an awful song. It should not exist. i was looking for a higher resolution version of the cover art and came across this: http://slog.thestranger.com/files/2007/08/gabel.jpg This is a good song. Chuck Ragan plays the harmonica and sings back-ups Best part of this is the non-Depeche Mode version of "Random Hearts." Gabel Schmabel this stuff is still pretty boring. Haven't heard this yet, and really haven't taken a liking to any of his solo stuff very much(so far from what I've heard", but I will give this a shot only because I really like the artwork. kinda stoked. i bought heart burns used the other day for four dollars. i love against me! but im glad i didn't pay the 11 bucks when it was new Coming soon to the CBC, Ann(a) of Tom Gabels. Anna I think is probably the best song on that EP, or Amputations I don't think those lines are cheesy at all. did this really requite a review? To be honest, I haven't listened to this since I first got it. It's good, but Heart Burns is longer so it wins every time. |
