| Third Eye Blind / Travis Greylive in New York2009 live show Review by: MorganHope See others by this writer Only registered users can post comments Published on June 26th 2009
We got to the Roseland Ballroom around 7:00, with the line long to the sold-out show. It stretched past the venue and around the next block onto 53rd Street. Once inside, it wasn't long after the opening act Travis Grey, from Saratoga -- contest winners to open -- took the stage. The lead singer, Travis had a Jeff Buckley feel to his voice. Their set included their five songs, the standout song an apparently new one, as introduced to the crowd; Travis sat down at his keyboard to play it. I could see it someday making its way to the radio. The whole band seem psyched to be playing to such a large crowd. After their set the band came out to help pack up their equipment and even snap a few photos of the crowd.

[x] I don't hate thise band I remember this stuff from school. Not sure how to feel about it really, I had no idea they were still around. One of the best alternative bands ever. Im bummed that I saw they didnt play "Anything." Zuh? "Whats next? A review of a semi-sonic concert? Some Space Hog perhaps?" Third Eye Blind rules on so many levels. Fuck what you heard. Find the version of the song "Slow Motion" that has words and your tune will quickly change. Score is for Bolucce (sp?) and anyone else who realizes the greatness that is Hum. gaslight's popularity brought springsteen love to pop up on this site, and now polar bear club has spawned this love. Syd, you know Semisonic only plays for friends and family these days. Why you gotta bring up the fact that I can't hear "Chemistry" live? Yer breakin' my heart with your sarcasm. It's so caustic! Ow! Ouch! Oh...! i saw them in witchita 2 years ago and it was one of best concerts ive ever been too. Score is for "Semi Charmed Kinda Life". Anyone who can get a song about doing crystal meth and having raunchy sex on the radio is cool in my book. Whats next? A review of a semi-sonic concert? Some Space Hog perhaps? This is some sort of cruel joke. Anyone remember that MTV Road Rules show? Well like 12 years ago they had on 3rd Eye Blind and they had to make a video about suicide or some shit to win money. Man, that shit was fucking hilarious. One of my favourite bands ever. haha what? Seriously? Can I get an amen for Out of the Vein? GIVE IT UP! ummmm. |
