Evolution does not always bring positive changes, no matter what Charles Darwin taught the world. The new Relient K album is the proof. These Christian kids (who maybe don't even believe in Darwin's theory) keep on evolving their sound with such mediocre results that one could easily believe this is not the same band.

I've read several reviews of this album and here is one I wholeheartedly agree with. I can see you're not bashing these guys, I've listened to them for almost 10 years as well, it's just a matter of missing something that was really good. It's not a matter of talent, it's a matter of why you loved the band in the first place, for me it was the energy of the songs and oddly memories associated with them. I like a lot of piano rock bands so it's listenable but I loved the uptempo songs from the earlier records. @cyanotic and as usual someone comes out of the woodwork to make fun of a band's fanbase that defends a band they like. canton ohio represent out of all due respect, relient k isn't a shitty band at all. i would assume that the gripes they get on this website are just because they are overtly christian, but they used to write good pop punk songs and now they write good pop songs. And as usual the shitty band's shitty fans come out of the woodwork to complain about the review. Never ceases to amuse. are you joking me? de-evolution? does that even happen? you claim that Oasis and Savannah sounds like childish concept songs...what does that even mean? seriously, i would absolutely love to know. this review is awful. i have liked the last two records a lot. kind of reminds me of a pop punk-ish ben folds. great review. too bad the band aint that great anymore, they used to be fun. mmhmm was my during/after breakup record of 2005. i like the album cover. reminds me of 90's emo band album covers. lol at Audio Adrenaline and the Supertones | Features
