There are feelings of great hesitation with a release like this, “the comeback“ record. With Small Brown Bike’s final full-length The River Bed, the band had branched out using more guitar and vocal effects, showcasing a slightly mellower disposition and hinting towards what would soon become a highly popular post-rock sound. The end results tended to be polarizing amongst fans. With Composite, Volume One, Small Brown Bike return with something both recognizable and slightly new.

I've been waiting for them to reunion for so long. When We Run is an awesome song. I was really excited when I heard them play it. i liked the River Bed. but $6 for two songs? ehhh I popped like 50 boners. Never thought I'd see another SBB record. Can't wait to get this in the mail and crank it on my new stereo and turntable. Hourglass is def the better of the 2. When we run is kind of droning. This review is a lot more journalist-esque than what you've done. I think it worked out swoane. I ave yet to listen to this. Normally I'm more of a fan of their more rocking "Our Own Wars" style songs but I actually like Hourglass more than When We Run. Both great though. | Features
