The Starting Line somehow developed one hell of a cult following in their nearly decade-long run. Whether their recent return will blossom into anything seriously full-time is up for debate (and fans of frontman Kenny -- now "Kenneth" -- Vasoli's more esoteric and experimental project, Person L, may hope TSL remains on the backburner). But if there was ever a time for the Starting Line to get the live treatment on disc -- this CD/DVD set providing a full live set in both audio and video -- at least it was now, with their future in doubt and a fairly sizable discography to pull material from.

Band has always been shit and Kenny is fucking douche bag. how can they have such an inaccurate title? A comment on Person L - The Starting Line was definitely doing the post-NFG pop punk thing. They were a 4th generation Lifetime - slash- boy band. Person L is a little more appealing to me, but instead of just ripping one style, there are different types of rips. Oh, here's the Owen song. Oh, here's a Led Zeppelin song. Oh, this song sounds like the Dismemberment Plan. I find it kind of disingenuous to call it experimental or even much of an artistic statement considering this guy's past output. He's really just doing the same thing but with more varied and slightly more obscure templates. I don't hear any real statement or passion, just a rehash of someone else's passion. It still all sounds like marketing to me, just like The Starting Line. i still dig say it like you mean it. they got pretty shitty after that. and vasoli seems like a real loser. well i mean WHAT'S THE FREQUENCY, KENNETH? |

say it like you mean it sits with northstar's pollyanna, mxpx's life in general, and new found glory's self titled in my favorite albums of middle school.
