Brand New / Manchester Orchestralive in Denver (2010)Universal Music Group Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: thepopeofchili-town (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on February 2nd 2010
Last time Brand New came through Denver was on their Fall 2007 tour with Thrice and mewithoutYou. The band was scheduled to perform here last October, but due to illness, the show had been pushed back nearly four months. Needless to say, the anticipation in the air was palpable.

Brand New fucking BLOWS! I agree completely with this. Everyone was violently trying to get to front after Manchester ended, it was pretty crazy. Most people who had been in the front the whole time were really cool, checking to make sure they weren't crushing anyone, passing water around etc... but there were definitely a lot of assholes out as well. Seeing The Archers' Bows Have Broken live was great. Manchester Orchestra was powerful. This show was a blast, but I still can't stand most of the kids that go to Brand New's shows (having now seen them 3 times) . They're just so... douchey. Brand new december 2007 in NYC with Thrice: they were amazing, just perfect. But, I almost had to leave because of all of the Long Island kids. It was really a shit show, meaning they were shitheads at a show. But Brand New continues to exceed (my) expectations. Capicee??!! That setlist is awesome, but when i saw them in October they had the YFW tracks swapped out for Milistone, No Seatbelt, and Jaws Theme Swimming, so I guess its all good. That is a fucking amazing set list. I'm so pissed I missed them in Chicago in October. |
