Epitaph Records -- Millencolin

Even though they played on FarmClub, and eventhough they were on Atlantic Records forever (I heard they're back on Epitaph now, WOOOHOO!), I never stopped loving this band. They continue to write amazing songs with lyrics that would make any college English professor jealous.

The New America is no exception. "It's a long way to the promised land","world without melody", "I love my computer" and "Let it Burn" are some of the better songs, but the two best are "1000 Memories" and "A Streetkid Named Desire". I guess I like 1000 Memories because it applys to me down to the last letter, as so many of their songs do, but "streetkid" is one of their best songs. It has some awesome guitar licks and a really good solo, plus the words are awesome, as usuall. The title track, which they made a pretty cool video for, is also pretty good, but it gets a little annoying after a while.

As long as Bad Religion lives, punk rock lives. "The New America" is very good, not a "Suffer" or a "Generator",but still good punk rock just the same. I hope these guys keep playing til they're 60.

Meh,it's ok,I used to allways complain that punk bands had no depth, and used ignorant lyrics, and my opinion on that still stands, even after listening to Bad Religion.

say what you want but it's still one of their best. it's not as "punk" as their other cd's but it's still a great record.

Not Bad Religion's best, but more than what most bands could ever hope to achieve. Some great tracks on here - but even I'll admit Greg would have probably called it quits after this one if Brett didn't come back.

I love Bad Religion. I've only been listening for about a year and a half now, but I'm familiar enough with them to know what makes them so amazing. You can hear the difference between "New America" and the Epitaph records, but that's expected. The songs are still catchy and great, but it lacks the old intensity. Let's hope that the reunion with Mr. Brett will rejuvinate them as we know it will. Their live show is unforgettable, too. There's something about how Greg points when he sings that forces you to sing right along with him. 8/10 on this one.

i give this an 8, but thats only because not every bad religion cd can get a 10. this is far from their best album, but they made so many excellent albums over the years, who cares? i know that the new cd is going to kick ass. brett is back, they are back on epitaph, its the perfect set up for a kick ass bad religion cd.

I hate people saying the best Bad Religion album is All Ages (sorry, not meaning to be mean or anything) Its a compilation. The best album to get ahold of would be against the grain. stranger than fiction, no control, and the gray race are also very good in my opinion, but i REALLY like this CD too.

Good but not there best work many great songs i just found it semi different from previous releases. If you are just getting into bad religion buy another CD probably All Ages because you get a taste for all there Epitaph releases plus it most of there good songs on it.

As everything Bad Religion puts out, this is very good stuff. But i have something to whine. It's too positive(not that there is something wrong with positivity),but i like the pesimistic songs better.
