Strawberry BlondesStrawberry Blondes: Fight BackFight Back (2009)Wolverine Reviewer Rating: 3 Contributed by: GlassPipeMurderGlassPipeMurder (others by this writer | submit your own) Despite their somewhat cutesy name that might remind some of us of a certain cartoon our sisters used to make us watch in the 1980s, the UK's Strawberry Blondes play a rough, melodic brand of punk rock that falls somewhere between Rancid and Anti-Flag. Admittedly, much of the album is fairly sta.

This sounded pretty great until you mentioned the song lengths. More bands need to put out records like Rancid 2000. |

This band is awesome, if you don't mind the OCCASIONAL blatant stealing of riffs and song structures from DKM, Green Day, Rancid and Flogging Molly ("Las Brigadas Internationales" is to "What's Left of The Flag" what Billy Talent's "Try Honesty" is to At The Drive-In's "One Armed Scissor". Other than that, they are extremely good at what they do, and their approach to reggae and ska culture will please fans of Rancid.
