So this is the 6th and latest studio recording by long time ska band MU330. In a time where bands are afraid to play ska or anything ska related for that matter, MU330 gives us their most overtly ska album to date. The album features guest performances by ex-Blue Meanies Chaz Linde on keys and John Paul Camp III on sax, they play on almost every single song.

The album itself is amazing from start to finish, every song is outstanding in itself. The opening track Raw Fish gives you a taste of whats to come, fast hyper psycho ska. Any MU330 album wouldn't be complete without a few joke songs, and the songs KKK Hiway and HiMYNameIsJohn are great. The latter sounds as if they took a letter a young fan wrote them and made music to go with it. Two personal favorites on Ultra Panic are Hey Now and Deeper. Hey Now is one of the slower songs on the cd and features some great trombone solos. Deeper just plain rocks.

I highly recommend you go and check out this album. Having heard all of MU330's previous records, this is the one to own. For all of you rudies out their itching for some new music, you won't be disapointed with this.

This album really doesn't compare to any previous Mu330 album's. They took their ska sound and went even farther with it, perfecting it with just the right amounts of rock. Nothing like Chump's or S/T. More along the lines of what Crab Rangoon was going for.

    This cd is rockin'....
Anyone who likes it should pick up the new 'The Chinkees' album, it rocks too.

this is a really good cd, i've had it for a while now and it is good from start to finish. it seems alot of bands these days are dropping the ska for something more cash worthy like emo or something but MU330 stays true to what they play and return for another great cd, can't wait to see them tour again

I have had Ultra Panic for about a week and a half now, and I can say that it is not my favorite, but it still is a very awesome CD. Another thing is, is that all MU330 CD's kinda grow on me the more i listen to it.

I do not know what I can directly compare it to, considering its more unique than the others from what I've listened to thus far.

I myself am partial to the Chumps On Parade sound, but one thing that doesn't change is that all of their CD's have songs that can put a smile on your face/make you have a good time.

    Peace,

I haven't heard this yet. I own most of their other cd's but this one was hyped as "more ska" I hope it's not like their self-titled cd with organs and things like that. I liked them with Chumps on Parade because it was more rock than ska. So I just wondering can anybody compare this to any of Mu330's previous releases?
