VariousVarious: Equal Vision Sampler 2000Equal Vision Sampler 2000 (2000)Equal Vision Records Reviewer Rating: 3.5 Contributed by: fatheadMark Williams (others by this writer | submit your own) Before I got this sampler, I hadn't heard much on Equal Vision. I had heard a little Bane and I like One King Down, but that was about it. There are some really good songs on this 24 song sampler. One King Down has two of them, Another Victim and Trial are damn good hardcore and Project Kate sound.
Before I got this sampler, I hadn't heard much on Equal Vision. I had heard a little Bane and I like One King Down, but that was about it. There are some really good songs on this 24 song sampler. One King Down has two of them, Another Victim and Trial are damn good hardcore and Project Kate sounded really different than the rest of the bands, but they were actually pretty decent. There is also a good song from Refused and Snapcase, and one of H20's best songs called "I Know Why" is also thrown in the mix.The sampler would be full-on hardcore, but there is a little emo-rock by Saves The Day and The Stryder, and maybe somebody else (I don't really get into that too much). Overall, this sampler opened my eyes to some really good bands, especially Trial. But hey, I guess that's what a sampler's supposed to do, right? This CD and label sucks incredibly. Down with emo, and this shitty hardcore. Hardcore is meant to not suck.
