Touché Amoré / La DisputeSearching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World[7-inch] (2010) No Sleep Records Reviewer Rating: User Rating: Contributed by: Lysdexia (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on August 31st 2010
Touché Amoré and La Dispute provided a couple of 2008's best records that I hadn't heard until early this year. TA dropped their self-titled demo 7" while LD put out the powerful Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair. LD's brand of post-hardcore combined with TA's brutally honest lyrics and crushing sound was something that made me think twice about not listening to hardcore-type bands for a year or two and sent me off to listen to what I hadn't. Upon hearing that the two were joining for a split, I was eager to hear what they had planned. Let's not mince words: This split, albeit under 10 minutes overall, is likely one of the best 10 minutes you can spend listening to music this year.

I love this split. I just got the MDAM split and so far I'm loving it ("Hideaways" has been one of my favorite TA songs for quite a while) I think La Dispute's side clearly wins but TA's songs are great as well. and like somebody already said, their songs on the Make Do and Men split are better. I saw touche amore a few weeks ago, they are pretty corny. Can you be politically correct and wear a buzum shirt? @froggerwithmylife: xenophobic? Name your band something in english you goddamn hippies Great split, but will Touche Amore and Make Do And Mends be even better? Excellent. Both bands, but especially La Dispute. i want to see them with envy so fucking bad but the nyc show is the same night as gaslight/fake problems/menzingers, which i already have tickets to. agh. Both bands are getting stale Great split, but will Touche Amore and Make Do And Mends be even better? I should also add that this is a great review. This might be the best split I have ever purchased. I love this split. I love these bands. | Features
