About Blood-guts-punkrock:

I am originally from Shrewsbury in the UK but am currently living in Huddersfield studying Music Technology with my main focus being on composition. I love to write music of most genres bar a few. Obviously my favourite genres are punk and ska but i also have a huge taste for hip-hop. I play a range of instruments and am always willing to learn new ones and techniques to do what needs to be done to get a great sound. I hope for a career in the music business as a song writer, not just for one genre but for anyone who needs it or chooses to use my efforts. I'm always wanting to learn new things so i'll try my hand at anything. I have been a massive fan of punk rock since an early age and my taste for it has never stopped. New bands releasing new material keeps me entertained and inspired enough to keep the thoughts and ideas coming but i follow every era of punk there is. Predominantly late 80's and 90's but i find the newer 'punk' isn't what it is labelled as. I have a huge problem with today's 'punk' scene, the UK especially (as i am not too sure about the US or other countries) seems to think anything rebellious or 'screamy' and 'shouty' is punk and all those who follow the 'punk' scene these days feel they NEED to have an opinion on politics and saving the Earth etc. I feel as long as the fun and attitude remains in the music it won't die out to people feeling they have to warp the minds of every young person entertained by a man or woman with snakebite piercings and unnatural coloured hair.
