Killing the Dream has posted information regarding a new album. The band recorded music for the new release, Fractures, in May, and completed 12 songs. Eli (vocals) had this to say regarding the delay since then:

Between going to europe for three weeks, doing nine shows on the west coast, and random local shows in between, my throat was not in the greatest shape. It was good enough to where I could get through shows (haha well, depending on who you talk to I'm sure), but definitely not good enough to do a record we would be happy with.

Basically, I decided to take some time off and try to let my throat heal to where I could finish the record. This is not a big deal, there's no medical problems or anything, I just felt like I should take a break in order to avoid possible problems that may have come if I kept pushing it.

The band hope to have the record done within the next month for a late 2007/ early 2008 release.

Fractures will be the follow-up to their 2005 effort In Place, Apart.
