On March 28, famed DIY venue 924 Gilman was recognized by the Berkeley City Council. The venue was recognized for "30 years of musical entertainment and contribution to the arts in Berkeley and beyond" by Mayor Jesse Arreguin. Long time Gilman volunteers Jesse Townley and Kamala Parks were at the ceremony to accept the proclamation. You can see a video of the ceremony right here.
