Pouzza Fest season is amongst us! Pouzza Fest is a three-day punk party in downtown Montreal, Quebec. The festival is happening this Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th, 2019. The party will include about 178 acts from all over this globe. For more information on this weekend's festivities, you can click here.

Today we have a few mini interviews from some of the bands playing this year's festival. We have ska party band The Planet Smashers, and Japanese skate punk band Stone Leek five short questions, see below.

Matt of The Planet Smashers

You’re playing Pouzza Fest, Is this your first time playing the festival? How many times have you played before? What makes Pouzza different than any other festivals that make you come back?
No! We’ve played Pouzza twice, Pouzza 3 and 6 I believe. It’s the best festival I’ve ever had the opportunity to play. All the bands are super cool, everybody hangs out and mingles with the concert goers. Sooooooo many good drinks. There’s always something awesome going down, be it a band I’ve never heard of or a cool activity or a killer bevy on the Parterre.

Is there a dream lineup for one venue show comprised of bands that are playing this year's Pouzza line up, what would it be?
Samiam, Samiam acoustic, Samiam solo, Samiam acapella, and Samiam hammered.
Seriously, I'll be happy at any venue at any time cause all the bands are great.

What are you looking forward to doing in Montreal?
Hanging out and watching bands!!!

What do you guys/gals have going on for the band for the rest of 2019?
We’ve got a slew of touring happening as our new record comes out a week before Pouzza. Doing Canada in late May/early June. Then festival dates. Then more touring!

Any final words?
Best festival ever.

This is 2nd time to play Pouzza Fest. We played 2 years ago. I have never played other festivals yet, so it's not sure, Pouzza fest is awesome. So many bands famous or not famous play in three days.

Is there a dream lineup for one venue show comprised of bands that are playing this year's Pouzza line up, what would it be?
Strung out, Against me, Andrew W.K. It's a really incredible experience to play with them for us.

What are you looking forward to doing in Montreal?
I'm looking forward to eating poutine and see the beautiful town.

What do you guys have going on for the band for the rest of 2019?
We are making new songs. Also, we will go on a Japan tour in June, October, December. I will be going to Europe, to tour as a member of We Outspoken from Toronto, next summer.

Any final words?
Thanks for reading. I hope to see many Canadian people on this tour.
