For the first time in three years Bad Taste Records signs a new Swedish band, Malmö-based Quit Your Dayjob. The band plays music "With a twangy guitar, a synthesizer way past its due date and snotty drums sounding like the B-52s on 45 rpm" and the label boasts they make "The Cramps sound like Devo in a wheelchair."
The label will release a self-titled MCD on October 25th that was previously released on I Made This. The band is also contributing a cover of "Broken Face" to the upcoming Pixies tribute on Düsseldorf Recordings. Bad Taste Records (27 comments)

That's a mean band description, sounds worth checking out. I only just realised how awesome the early B-52s stuff is. 2+ Replies

I wonder why Düsseldorf Recordings is named after my hometown if it is located in Sweden. :/

Is it the first time in 3 years the label has signed a band, or the first time in three years since they've signed a new Swedish band? Other than that, sounds interesting. | Features
