Burnt By The Sun to Continue sans Vocalist and Drummer

The remaining members Burnt by the Sun have confirmed that they will continue on after the departure of vocalist Mike Olender and drummer Dave Witte. The remaining half of the band posted this somewhat cryptic message on their site: "3 out of 4 are taken care if, things will start to roll in October & November. 2005 will be a good year for BBTS"

Lambgoat adds (the rumour) that "according to one source, the band has already lined up drummer Brandon Thomas (Dim Mak)"

Seriously, you can't replace Witte, you might as well get a drum machine. Maybe Witte left so he could focus on his project with Jon Chang, War Chalking. That should kill.

Of course you can replace him. You'd be amazed at how many amazing drummers are still playing in shitty local bands. And it's not like Witte is the best drummer ever.. a guy like Zach Hill is a better drummer even if he just had one arm and leg.

He might not be the most technical drummer of all time, but Witte's style is so fluid. It's amazing to watch him, he looks like he's just relaxing.

etheir way its still cool to have burnt by the sun around who the hell knows they could find another good drummer which would be sweet or take a differnt direction which could be good to. Good news to me. - I Hate The Kids

this is a really bad idea.. mike olender's vocals are completely unique to him, as is dave witte's drumming.. this is gonna suck/
