I'm surprised they're actually coming to Cincinnati with this at all. What with the recent stabbing incident and all. And where do you think they'll move if they're not going to be at Bogart's? Radiodown is more or less off limits for hardcore shows anymore.

yeah, i think ryan would re open the void for this show........... southgate house is 21+, jillians would never do this, i think top cats would the only hope of having it in cincinnati, and that would be slim, its too small, and who knows if vicki would even want this show

really? then what is hardcore? all this screamo bullshit? when i first started listening to "hardcore," hatebreed, soia, agnostic front, strife, and damnation a.d. were staples. sick of it all is as hardcore as it gets.

Hatebreed isn't a fucking hardcore staple. Minor Threat is. Refused is. Hatebreed is macho metallic hardcore crap. I'm gonna guess you started listening to hardcore about 15 minutes ago if you consider hatebreed an essential hardcore band.

I write this as the concerned mother of a 13-year-old boy. He posts on these comment boards under the name of "BSD". He asked me to buy him a CD called "Minor Threat--Discography" in honor of his good report card. What INFURIATES ME is that he was led to believe by the people on this site that that CD was good, clean and positive. Here is my formal complaint: As a concerned mother, I feel it's my obligation to warn other parents who are trying to determine if this album is suitable to buy for their kids. My 13-year-old son is enamored with "punk rock" and asked for this album because of a great report card. I wasn't too keen on buying him a "punk" album from what I remember of it from my youth. that is probably one of the greatest albums for your kid to start off listening to. aside from the cursing it really does send a positive message. support your sons interests and talk to him about it and tap into his mind on what he thinks. chances are hes not going to stop listening to the music he enjoys. im a 21 year old drug free, moral individual, i dont owe my life style to Minor Threat but they support the same ideas as i do.

I feel sorry for SOIA that they have to play tours like this. Such an incredible band with so many fans outside their own scene, but when they want to pick up new fans in hardcore, they're reduced to playing with fuckin Hatebreed, the anthisesis of soia. Pity.

toughs don't give a crap about anything. They have no ideals, all they want is to mosh, hurt people, and show how bad-ass they are. You can expect to see nike's being sold in that show. There were in the last (and final) show of a band somewhat related i attended. So Xbox isn't a big surprise here. I got really disappointed. Don't think all hardcore bands are like this. There are a lot of bands who really care about important issues, and usually those bands wouldn't call their tour "Heavyweights of Hardcore". Sad but true.

hatebreed's been on victory for a really long time. im guessing since before you knew what hardcore is, since youre calling them "sellouts" for being on the label. victory style comps used to cost $2 at the most. same with everything else. the cost jackup is due to you mallkids willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for clothing and samplers. dont blame them for making money off you.. being in a band is expensive shit.

Kids, get over yourselves. Hatebreeds music is a little chuggish, but so is Terror's and some of Sick of It All's. I'll take Hatebreed anyday over Bright Eyes, Get Up Kids or any of that other crybaby dribble. Say what you will about their message (usually its the whole "hardcore brotherhood" rhetoric), but they sound damn good live.
