Turbonegro are currently in Oslo recording their followup to 2003's Scandinavian Leather under the working title of Babylon Forever. The sessions are being produced by Steve McDonald (Redd Kross, Beck). While this is the first time the band has ever worked with a producer, Burning Heart is reporting that the results are "no less than astounding!"

As for the band themselves, Euroboy commented "We've got 11 hits, all of them beautifully negative switchblade serenades" while Happy-Tom compares the new material to "Joan Jett, early Van Halen and Shostakovich, Stalin's in-house composer." The record is due in April of `05.

Meanwhile more more details on Turbonegro's upcoming Californian shows has been announced. The band is set to play the Thrasher Skater Of The Year Awards at the Great American Music Hall on December 18th followed by two headlining dates at the House Of Blues Hollywood on the 19th and 20th. Furthermore "In their effort to create Christmas peace within The Desert Rock Scene" Turbonegro has invited Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator to open on the 19th and Josh Homme's Eagles Of Death Metal to open the 20th. There's also talk of having The Adolescents join the bill on one of the nights. The pair of dates is being touted as the first ever Turbojugend US World Convention with fans travelling from three continents to attend.
