Sweden's Millencolin have signed with Burning Heart Records, again. The band has been without a contract since Home From Home completed their previous deal. This was announced on their website this past week, "We are, after a long time of looking around, super stoked to announce that we are back home again with Burning Heart in Europe and licensed to Epitaph in the US, Shock in Australia and JVC in Japan!." Burning Heart head Peter Ahlqvist commented "We love the band and its members as family. I'm very proud that the band has put their trust in us as a label, and it's going to be great working with the band in the future."
The first release on the new two album deal will be the band's recently completed full length. The still untitled album will be out in March or April of 2005. Burning Heart (61 comments)

You gotta hand it to millencolin. that's integrity. They, without a doubt, must have been courted by every corporate label on this planet, and still stick with BR. These guys remain one of my favorite bands, and one of the bands that really got me into punk. I still remember the first time I heard Millencolin: On the computer at my grandparents house, summer of 2000, "Penguins and Polarbears." fucking amazing song from one of my favorite records. 4+ Replies

Their albums on Epitaph: good Their albums on Burning Heart: poor (Pennybridge) to awful (HFH) So I think it's looking good for them. Epitaph's punk bands (the few that remain) have delivered some pretty decent stuff as of late. -Chinatown 3+ Replies

I actually know what's up since I live in Sweden and were at the heartattack festival where they played in late august. They said on stage that there were industry people in the crowd who had flew to sweden to see the show.
TOO BAD THEY BOMBED, terrible set, easily the worst i've ever seen them play, it was all stiff rock and every single song, new or old were played in the home from home stiff rock-sound. I really like millencolin, and lozin' must is my favorite song by them, but for the first time ever, i walked out on a band i came to see, and to make it even worse, during my favorite song. I spoke to 2 A&R representative from two different labels, one of them were really dissapointed and saw the trip as a fiasco, and actually said "well, atleast i can go pick up some swedish hotties so this trip will be worthwhile". The other one i spoke to told me that there w show rest of comment 6+ Replies
