Rolling Stone and the BBC have posted their coverage of the unveiling ceremony for the bronze statue of Johnny Ramone. The $100,000 statue, created by artist Wayne Toth, captures Johnny in his memorable stance playing his Mosrite guitar. A quote from the guitarist is written in stone: "If man can judge success by how many great friends he has, then I have been very successful."

The ceremony included many of Johnny's friends including Steve Jones, Eddie Vedder, Rob Zombie, Pete Yorn, John Frusciante, Anthony Kiedis and Nicolas Cage.

Johnny Ramone died on September 15, 2004 at his home in Los Angeles.
