Marathon posts new songs from forthcoming album

Upstate New York's Marathon has posted two new songs on their pureVOLUME page. The songs, "Painting By Numbers" and "Dancing Problem," are available for streaming here and will appear on the band's forthcoming, still untitled album, due out later this year.

The record will follow up the band's Red Leader-released Songs To Turn The Tide EP, which came out in 2003.

This band is great. I almost drove out to PGH to see them play with Voice In The Wire. Instead I tried to go see Neko Case, which was incidentally sold out. Fuckers.

Yeah, I had to wrok the night NMDS/Marathon played the back booth, I was pissed!

I was at that show! NMDS is one of my favorite bands to see live. It was cool, I talked to some of those guys and they were super nice. Great show too from both touring bands. Stressface is better when they wear makeup get incredibly drunk and tell everyone they're the best band in the history of music, though.

I saw them with Voice in the Wire a few weeks back at Roboto and these guys killed. Definately somebody to watch out for.
