Nitro Records has signed central Massachusetts' No Trigger. The band is currently writing for their debut full-length and followup to Extinction In Stereo, the Bigmouth Japan-released compilation EP distributed through Nice Guy in the US. The band, who has relaunched their website as well, will then head in the studio later this year for a release in early 2006.

Obviously I've been foaming at the mouth waiting to announce it for the last few weeks, but we needed confirmation of some sort. This suits well. An official congratulations is in order.

On a midly related note, did No Knife break up a while ago? I only got one of their records a few months back and kinda wondered what happened to them

Wait, Nice Guy put out Extinction In Stereo? I think I finally have some respect for that shitty record label. Anyways, this band is fucking awesome, and this makes me have some faith in Nitro again...is Ensign still on Nitro?

Wow, signing Bullet Train to Vegas and No Trigger, plus A Wilhelm Scream and Letters Organize? Nitro is shaping up pretty nicely.

Me and my friend saw this band a couple years ago when they came down to FL and after we left he commented that they were catchy/good enough that they could probably get signed to a recognizable label. In retrospect that was pretty prophetic. Good live band, too. |
