Three One G has put up an MP3 from Head Wound City (members of the Blood Brothers, the Locust, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) on their site. You can click here to check it out. The track is taken from the band's as-yet-untitled, recently completed EP, due out later this year.

It lacks: Bad Brains, Husker Du, D.R.I., Rites of Spring and Lifetime. Those five bands influenced soooo much of today's music it's insane. Only other band I can think to add might be Cro-Mags...

I'd add: Minor Threat: Complete Discography Green Day: Dookie Wu-Tang Clan: Enter the 36 Chambers Rage Against the Machine: S/T These 4 albums probably influenced tosay music more than any other of the time period I can imagine.

Maybe you misread that list: It doesn't say best punk bands of the last 20 years. Don't get me wrong, I like all of the bands you mentioned but that list is pretty solid. Better than fuckin Rolling Stone.

as much as you people rag on threeoneg, they still put out genre defying, anti-conventional and refreshing music. every label has its shitty bands (which threeoneg certainly does) and any music thats breaking the mold is gonna be pretentious. feel free to call it what you want but the fact is that these bands are changing things and you're all sitting in front of computer screens. think.
