No replacement player has been announced yet.As far as having a last, amazing show, he got it. Bush has decided to move on in his life and moved to Denver. We're all still best friends and wish him the very best of luck. Not only is he one of the best musicians that we've ever played with, he's a great friend.
We had a really great run! Bush has been in the band since the beginning and now it's time for him to musically focus on something else. I'm not sure if everyone knows this, but the band reads the guestbook and comments about the updates regularly. So, if you want to thank Chris Bush, or just say something nice about our friend, I'm sure he'd appreciate it!

Tenor sax player Chris Bush has left Big D and the Kids Table. He played his last show with the ska punk act this past Monday at the Northampton stop of the Warped Tour. The band's website provides details:

They are OK, some of the stuff kinda reminds of the shit they play on Barney the Dinosaur, they did a split with "Five Knuckle", sick band! 1+ Reply

This band is better than 90% of the other bands that this site posts news about

I love this band, and hope they can find a replacement player quick so they can do their Pietasters tour next month. Killer record, nicest dudes ever, and they'll always play "Moment Without An End" if I ask. -Scott 2+ Replies

I can honestly say other than Streetlight Manifesto, this is probably the best ska band out there. Chris really supplied a lot to the band to when it came to creating the songs and was awesome on the sax. What a shame to see him go.

I think this is their second member they've lost recently. Didn't they lose their drummer not too long ago? Anyways, kudos to this band for hanging tough, and now being repaid for it with a relatively large and loyal fanbase.

I hate to be a shit talker, but this band was a lot better during the good luck era. Having like five or six horns in your band won't last for long, so I should be thankful that they had one album recorded with all of them. Their good luck era drummer was also top notch. With that said, I still love Big D. They have bigger hearts and put more into shows than anyone going right now. Does anyone think that they should pick up a bari sax and a second guitar while they're filling in for Bush? Just a thought. 1+ Reply

I can't ever imagine leaving a band that is just starting to reach a decent level of success...but i guess priorities change
