This past Friday, former Yellowcard guitarist Ben Harper launched Takeover TV, an online TV station associated with his label, Takeover Records. To host the show, Harper has enlisted the help of DJ Rosstar.

The on-demand broadband television station aired it's premiere on September 16th, titled Rosstar the first episode is structured as a "variety show" and features bands like The Matches (Epitaph), Maxeen (Warner) and American Eyes (Side One Dummy) as well as actors Kal Penn (Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle) and Zachary Bryan (Home Improvement).

The label plans to air new episodes of the program each Friday at 6pm PST and will continue to make them available for on-demand viewing after that.
