In a recent interview, Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato revealed a little of the band's plans for the future.

After the completion of their upcoming tour with Horse the Band, Between The Buried And Me and Hella, both guitarist Ben Weinman and bassist Brian Benoit will both head into surgery for injuries sustained over the past year of touring, one of which forced the band to cancel some of their dates on the Gigantour.

After that, the band plans to take six months off to begin writing the new album, of which three songs have already been completed. Greg describes the songs as "way crazier than Calculating Infinity."

Puciato also explained some of the reasons for the long delay between albums some of which came from legal problems with with Relapse. While the band has one more album left in their deal with that label, he also indicated that the band will probably leave and made specific mention of discussions with Epitaph saying:

They have the amount of resources that a major label has even though they're an independent label because of that Offspring thing. That dude pretty much won the lottery and now he has so much money. Like, so much money, it's insane. He uses it to put out records that will never make money. I mean, he's not going to make any money off of Converge and The Locust, but he thinks it's cool and puts it out.
