Track selection for upcoming Face to Face retrospective announced

Trever Keith's Antagonist Records has announced the artwork and track listing for the upcoming retrospective compilation from Face to Face. The long-running band broke up in 2003 shortly after the Vagrant release of How to Ruin Everything. The collection is due out November 1st.

The band originally announced the compilation in June 2004, but has ironed out many of the details for the delayed collection. The album will include 19 essential tracks as well as 2 that were previously unreleased. The disc will include deluxe slipcase packaging as well as extensive liner notes and rare photos.

I don't know, I really like How to Ruin Everything... But Big Choice was pretty sweet, too.

I love this band, one of my all time favorites. It looks like nothing from Ignorance is Bliss made the cut. There were one or two songs I think could have worked well on here. As great as their live album is, I think it's odd to put those versions on a retrospective like this. Although they did try to push the live version of "I'm Trying" as a single. But if that's the case, where's "The New Way?"And a live version of Disconnected as a bonus track is disappointing, as opposed to a brand new song. I'll still spend the money on this for the liner notes, I hope they are truly extensive.

I have a lot of respect for this band. On top of some great songs of their own, they managed to do an amazing Pogues cover ("Sunnyside of the street"). I thought I was in for a let-down at first.

not a bad tracklist. definately missing "in harms way" and a couple others. should have put more live unreleased stuff on here. i hope they still do a b sides record and the dvd.

wow, you can listen to the first track and be done with it as that song will then repeat for the next hour... never understood the love for these guys. disconnected is an alright tune but everytime i've listened to one of thier cds its been the same sound at the same pace straight through and i only make it a few songs in

There's one with the Kung Fu (Europe) Face To Face retrospective "Everything Is Everything" Don't know how easy that is to get outside of Europe, but the DVD was great, it had videos and the first 7 years video on it.

Yeah, but I was a little disappointed when it wasn't on the live album. "Look Phil, no offense, but the're no way in hell that song's going on this record"

whats the name of that really old track that was on the old LookOut Comp PunkUSA? that's one of their best. also, no "1000 Times"? "Dont Turn Away" was one of the only tapes my mom would let me listen to in the car when i was 14 and 15 because they dont swear once. in fact i cant think of a swear word on any F2F album! one of my oldest favorites.

yeah i noticed the lack of swearing too, i think he said something like you dont need to swear to emphasize a point...except on the live album. i remember a few fuck yeahs.

...the compilation they released for Europe on Kung Fu is twice this record. A extra DVD with videos, a very even tracklisting (about 4 or 5 songs from each pre-HTRE album). This release is a bit pointless...

this band was a piece of shit. i remember trevor having to go get so many tattoo's in a few days so he could "look" punk enough to open for MDC and dr. know. what a pile of shit this band was. go piss up a rope, fags. people are fags.
