The local openers have been announced for the upcoming 2006 edition of the Taste of Chaos. The bands were chosen based on votes cast by visitors to the Taste of Chaos website.

They will be opening for a diverse lineup this year, with participants including headliners Thrice, Deftones, Story of the Year, Atreyu, Thursday, As I Lay Dying, Dredg, Silverstein and Funeral For A Friend. Supporting acts include Pelican, The Receiving End of Sirens, The Confession, Millionaire, Adair, Street Drum Corps, Greeley Estates and The Smashup.
