Contests: Take Action Tour 2006

To celebrate the upcoming 2006 Take Action! Tour, Punknews.org and the Take Action Tour would like to give three winners a selection of albums by bands featured on the tour.

The prize package will include recent albums from headliners Matchbook Romance and Silverstein as well as material from The Early November, Chiodos, Amber Pacific, Paramore, Man Alive, I Am Ghost, Hit The Lights, We Are The Fury and Roses Are Red.

Punknews.org are among the sponsors of the tour, which provides support and resources for young people to turn to when in need through the National Hopeline Network and 1-800-SUICIDE(784-2433).

I think I am Ghost gets a bad rap- I think they are really doing a good job picking up where bands like AFI and Thursday left off. And then they had the guts to add violins and keyboards on top of that. I think that takes a lot of innovation and creativity. Also- this tends to get overlooked but those guys are AMAZING musicians. I mean, they could all be doing session work for major labels if they wanted to.

Saying stupid stuff like listening to these would make me want to kill myself and what not just shows how un aware people are about this issue. When suicide becomes a joke thats when you know it's serious. it's not funny. And if you don't support a tour that's for a good cause because you don't like these bands...then just go away, or try starting something better. Look past the fact that these bands "suck" and maybe support a good cause?
