Dear desperate bands of America: Trying to get signed? I have an easy solution for you! Go pick up Fall Out Boy's discography, and a few releases from Victory Records. Good. Now rip off their sound off, and get an overproduced demo that sounds like three hundred other bands in a 50 mile radius of you Now you're guaranteed to get that lucrative indie deal that will do you no good in two years when this pop-emo trend is a bad memory and you have no fans because you either a) completely changed your sound and alienated your already existing fanbase or b) never had any fans to begin with! I can't believe I'm saying this (because I never liked these a-holes to begin with) but they should've stuck with ripping off RBF.

These guys were a great fun ska band, now they are just another shitty pop punk band. What a waste. I remember how disappointed I was in my town when a bunch of local punks jumped these guys, now it almost seems like it was a preemptive strike. Way to turn into suck.

Nice move guys, Snapdragon Records is about the biggest joke Ive ever come across. You can look forward to following mediocre package tours everynight trying to hop on the bill, its the Snapdragon way.

ha. they always had issues with keeping band members. I remembered they didnt have a drummer for a while. must have got smart and realized that ska may not be the best route to travel down.

Yeah, what a terrible fucking label... snapdragon is like a cockroach...... IVFK was kinda sweet for a ska band, but now their latch onto anything that sounds popular attitude towards writing music, blah...... makes sense that they are releasing something like this on Snapdragon. a label that has no forward vision, but thinks Johnny Come Latelys are amazing, and still thinks gutter punk sound bands like 80-D are cutting edge music.... BOO Snapdgragon, BOO

Congratulations. You turned from a damn fine ska band to a way below average emo/poppunk band. You lost your old fans and theres a million better bands who pulled the shit that you're trying to do now. Go back to the ska or give it up. I very rarely badmouth bands I used to like, but you guys are pathetic.

I'm gonna echo everyone else's comments and say these guys used to be good.

It's a shame that one of the best ska-punk bands (Slapstick) had to get all emo and start the trend of ska bands going emo (Lawrence Arms and Alkaline Trio). I never heard this band before today.. but the singer's voice is really annoying and this music is quite boring. This is what I get for finally listening to bands I've ignored forever.

Hah. This is hilarious. Everyone's comments are the same things I've been telling the band for years. I'm a former member of IV4K, and am still friends with them. I remember Lee driving me around and playing me the new album. My first question for him was "aren't you guys a ska band?" If I remember, there is 1 or 2 "ska" songs, otherwise it's the same cookie cutter pop punk passing itself off as emo that is popular these days. And for what it's worth, my understanding was that they weren't going to release the album until they signed with (what I understood to be) a bigger label. Looks like they were getting desperate.

so the sound changed.. kill them for it? no send them hate mail? if you really want to waste your time, i guess. but honestly, some people act like they own bands. if they wanna write about 'emo' such things. let 'em it's their choice. and if you dont like it, then dont listen to it. i can honestly say that allthough they've changed, i love them just as much as i did when i first saw them live two years ago. and if they happen to 'ruin another great ska band' in your opinion... good. it was their band to ruin anyways.

I remember when two dudes from this band doubled teamed my friends ugly ex-girlfriend. This deal will probably yield similar antics. Also, I remember a band called the Hippos. I wonder if anyone else does too.

Fuck you elitests..........they are a good band. You don't like 'em? Start your own 7-8 piece ska band in todays age and try and pay rent and be able to eat!
