A Wilhelm Scream on the radio today

This afternoon at 12:30 pm EST A Wilhelm Scream will appear in the PunkRadioCast studio to play a live set. The band is in the area for their ongoing tour with Less Than Jake. You can find more info on the appearance at the PRC, and tune in via the link that sits above the Punknews reviews.

A Wilhelm Scream released Ruiner last year via Nitro Records. It showed up on many of the Punknews Best of 2005 lists.

I saw A Wilhelm Scream last night, fuck they are good. They are playing again tonight in Burlington ON (YMCA), if anyone is in the neighbourhood, go. It'll be fuckin crazy.

yeah i was there last night too.. there were like 15 people in the pit moshing, which sucked.. but whatever. didnt you find less than jakes set way too short?? haha i almost missed it too..

haha. im sorry that my taste in music has offended you. i will try to find more obscure music so i can run around and make fun of people who like bands that other people have heard of. this is the music that i like, all of those bands are pretty similar, but it works for me. i dont see why you should have a problem with that.

Holy Shit! I was so happy to see this. I used to have this song and somehow it got deleted off of my computer. Earlier today I emailed a few friends to see if they could send it to me. Nobody had it. I wanted to rock out to this in the shower this morning but couldn't. Such a good song......Thank You!

I got it working right at the end of "Killing It." The top lead guitar part in "the King Is Dead" had an out-of-tune string at that "To break through the silence of the night" part, too. It sounded uuuuugly. "Famous Friends And Fashion Drunks" sounds awesome, though. Someone's way pickslide happy today! -Scott

This is sounding like their set that they played with Less Than Jake; which was a good set. Famous Friends sounds great live and I am hoping they play Me vs. Morrissey.

i think they did play Me vs Morrissey, the stream just got fucked up, so we missed it. I could be wrong though. Also, they usual always play the same set, give or take a couple songs.

Can anybody tell me what the usual AWS setlist looks like? This is what I think they would play on an average night: Famous Friends Me vs. Morrissey The King Is Dead Anchor End The Rip The Soft Sell Killing It I'm seeing them twice this week and want to figure out what they'll probably be playing for a friend. Also, do they ever play "Catharsis For Dummies" anymore, or anything older than Mute?

last year at nation they played all those and the did play 'catharsis' as well and at a show in pa in dec they played 'class of 97 and 'sept 10' i believe. so they do mix it up

You nailed that. They played an old song last nigh, i couldn't believe it. But ya, that setlist is very accurate, they just played a few more off of Ruiner as well, like Congradulations, Less Bright Eyes etc....

in some kind of usual order Mute Print Anchor End Me Vs. Morrissey Famous Friends Kids Can Eat a Bag of Dicks William Blake Overdrive Killing It King is Dead Less Bright Eyes Dreaming of Throwing Up and they always end with The Rip obviously they won't play all of those, probably 8 or so, but that's what they've played since 'Ruiner' came out. and nah, no 'Catharsis...', i've begged them to play it every time i've seen it and they just generally don't do the old stuff. try begging yourself though, maybe we can get enough demand going... i fucking love that song.

If I see any of them, I am definitely going to request "Catharsis." That song is in my top 5 favorites. It's a little rough around the edges, but I really love it. And that looks like a pretty good setlist. When you saw them, were they headlining or supporting? If they were supporting, how long were they given?

i've seen them 7 times, all of them supporting except Warped, which doesn't really count. the longest they played was with PW and Death By Stereo last September, they played 11 songs, very heavy on Ruiner but threw in 'Kursk' too, which made me happy in the pants. they're so fucking awesome live, you're in for such a treat. and definitley talk to them before or after the show, they're awesome dudes, particularly Trevor and Chris.

When they headline, they dig into their Smackin' Isaiah back-catalog, but when they're opening for someone, they typically do about 5-6 Ruiner tracks and 3-4 Mute Print tracks (and it's pretty much the ones you'd expect). -Scott

This was amazing. I was lucky enough to be here and got to sit behind the drummer. Quite a few times my eyes went crazy just trying to look at him play. Best hangover cure ever! I must say....record timing for getting the set streamed. Thanks to whoever did it.

The first couple of songs were audio poor but it got cleaner and AWS rocked!!But what was really good was the smooth unabashed/unpressured interview with PRC Mark.It was live and didn't feel forced/just a bunch of people hanging out in the basement.
