Saves The Day plans tour-only Sessions EP

Recent Vagrant signing Saves The Day have announced a new tour-only EP, titled Bug Sessions Volume 1. The disc is made up of acoustic reworkings of older Saves The Day favorites and will only be available at the concerts on the upcoming tour.

Tracks set for release on the EP include "Jodie," "Sell My Old Clothes, I'm Off To Heaven", "My Sweet Fracture", "You Vandal", "Certain Tragedy", "In My Waking Life", and "Freakish."

The band will release their fifth studio album, Sound The Alarm on April 11th, 2006. A North American tour has been confirmed with more cities to be announced.

Saves the Day self-funded the recording and spent over four months recording Sound The Alarm's 13 tracks, which include "End," "Eulogy," "Dying Day," and "Shattered." Producer Steve Evetts (Story of the Year, Dillinger Escape Plan), who produced the band's first two discs manned the controls at Electric Ladybug Studios.

all right i got a question about vinyl. i have a record player that can play full-lengths but i have 2 against me 7inches and whenever i put it on the vocals sound fine but the background music is kinda fucked up. can anyone explain why this happens?

my friend bill is a dj and he told me there is an adapter you can use to play 7 inches on a full sized record player, or that some new players are made to play both at standard quality.

Make sure you're playing the record at the correct speed/RPM.

yeah, its on the right rpm. the first time i played my crass lp i had it on a slower rpm and listened to the whole first song like that without thinking there was a problem. then during the intro of 'white punks on hope' i realized my mistake. it was pretty funny but i guess you had to be there....

nah, occasionally my friend and i will get an lp or 7 inch and we'll have to play the "what is the correct speed game." Some of the sludgy metal stuff is impossible to tell.
