Three more additions have been announced for the upcoming Smartpunk stage at the Warped Tour has been announced. The organizers tell Punknews.org that the stage will now feature Winnipeg-based hardcore act Comeback Kid, Misery Signals and currently unsigned act The Stiletto Formal.

2006 marks the 3rd consecutive year of the stage will feature a variety of acts including Boy Sets Fire, He Is Legend, Emery, Eighteen Visions, It Dies Today, Chiodos, As Cities Burn, Gatsbys American Dream, Remembering Never, SoTheySay, I Am the Avalanche, Classic Crime, The Audition, June, The Fully Down and The Confession.

Four dozen acts have already been confirmed for the 2006 Warped Tour. and you can click Read More for the list to date. The routing was announced in January and venues are expected soon.

The list looks about 50% interesting (to me) and 50% less so; of course, there are a half-dozen stages and my ability to be in more than one place at once was taken away by gold kryptonite, so I'm ok with that.

I'd have to say there are some fairly good acts this year. There are some real shitty ones as well but I think it's a much stronger balance than in years past.
It seems like they may have actually struck a balance between the make up and girl pants crowd and the elitist punk crowd.
Should be fun people watching this year.

Best warped lineup in quite a few years, and it's still relatively early.

Once again though, the smarkpunk stage will suck horridly.

anybody ever been to the warped tour in phoenix? it is like watching a rock concert in the burning depths of hell. i got heat exhuastion one year and threw up periodically throughout the rest of the day. that was sucky.

a whole day of standing outside in 90+ degree weather to see a bunch of bands i've already seen multiple times play 30 minute sets while paying $10 for a bottle of water and a hamburger is no longer appealing to me. or maybe i'm just an old fart.

oooh, Comeback Kid. I will definitely see them. But I'll have to go to the Miami one, boo. It's usually 90 degrees with 80% humidity or something like that, and then half the people have hoodies on anyway, and then there's a thunderstorm that delays everything for an hour.

MISERY SIGNALS should hang it up already. Their lead vocalist bails, and all of their lyrics almost always involve HIS dead friends (for a lack of a better term).

Why do people have to be so fucking negative. I fucking swear. Who cares if it is real punk or not. If you don't like the show, then comment in a constructive way instead saying "Thats gay" and "only fags like this music.". It just sucks to keep reading the same old shit from people dissing a fucking tour. Oh your favorite band is now on a major label and they sold out and are making a little bit of money they fucking deserve. It doesn't mean the band sucks, it means the band actually fucking made it which is really hard to do. Punk music is suppose to unite people and go against an establishment together, not to split off into subgroups and hate each for listening to different types of punk music. I personally listen to old and new stuff and I like them both the same because they both try to carry the same message.
Now I know I am going to get like a million fucking comments about how I am wrong and how I am gay but I don't fucking care. Being ignorant was never fucking cool by the way.

I'm pretty sure that I just about cried when I read that Senses Fail is on bill! Like a seriously serious solid band,,,,amazing band....wapred tour is gunna be fucking sooo sick!
