Desa has updated their website with some news about movement in their camp. The band is currently in the recording process for their next album, however no release date or title has been announced.
The band recently cancelled some shows due to the departure of drummer Joey Bustos who has joined Street to Nowhere. The remaining members of the band have decided to focus on completing the album which is expected in the summer. The band, which includes members of ska/punk act Link-80, previously released Year in a Red Room and Demonstrates Birth. Mash Down Babylon (15 comments)

I was totally bummed when I found this out. I'm glad they're going to continue but they've been playing together since the Link-80 days, no? That's got to be a tough loss. However, Street to Nowhere ain't a bad band to jump on either. I hope these guys have the best of luck. -Dante

How do you loose a whole person? Link 80's first album was sick before Danielle Steels son killed himself

Desa is an amazing band. Year in a red room was and is a great record. I can't wait for these guys to put out there new stuff. I'm sure it will rule. Link Eighty was amazing as well. They put on one of the best live shows that I've ever seen. I hope they are not completely forgotten and can put out another record and maybe do a tour. The Link 80 songs for the crown, poison paradox, and letter to celeste were stand out songs and its a shame they didn't really get to wide a release. As to the people saying that link 80 was better with nick......I look at it as 2 different bands but one entity. Both amazing. So yeah hopefully bustos will do good in his new band, but shit to me he is missing out on where the action is at. and thats in the atrc mothafuckas. word | Features
