Tours: The Phenomenauts / the God Awfuls on the West Coast

The Phenomenauts are bringing their brand of spacebilly back to the West Coast after finishing up their tour with Teenage Bottlerocket and the Epoxies. The band will be accompanied by the God Awfuls on all dates, with assorted bands filling on all dates.

The band is supporting their 2004 Springman release Re-Entry.

Yeah, they were never on Vagrant, they only have one real release (i.e. non demo) and it's on Kung Fu.

You're probably thinking of the GoToHells. Who WERE one of the first Vagrant bands... and a damn fine rock band too. Kinda pulled a RFTC meets the Smugglers kinda thing in their later years...

thank god for the phenomenauts, otherwise this tour would be god awful. seriously. cheap jokes aside. thank god for the phenomenauts, i guess you cant have an aquabats phenomenauts tour every year eh?

I remember (read as "in my day") we got the God Awfuls CD at KSJS (college radio) and it literally had two songs we could play on air. Of those two songs one was pretty good. So I know when I see them open for the Penomenauts I will enjoy at least two minutes of their set. -Dante

Hmmm...I highly doubt that. I did a census of 90% of South Korea and they thought my posts were great. I feel that's fair to apply that to the rest of the world. -Dante

You should pick up the CD, it's really good. I saw them open for Stiff Little Fingers about a year and a half ago and I was their one fan in the audience. I bought a t-shirt and the bassist looked so happy to sell something.

Hah.. This tour is BEFORE the Epoxies/Teenage Bottlerocket tour, and here are two more dates (just showed up in my e-mail a minute ago): 4/11 - Medford, OR @ Johnny B's 4/12 0 Chico, CA @ Off Limits
