The psychology and motives of say ed gein, are somewhat interesting. In the (shitty) band that I am in, the singer sings about serial killers, but he researchs what he is singing about, and UNDERSTANDS. I can confidently say, this band used the name because its Frech and cool sounding and its about death.... cause death is so cool, man. Prasing the death of a little girl of minor fame, thats cool. Keep supporting this band. I could be wrong, maybe they sing about how it is depressing and sickning this case was. Doubtful. And I really dont think the family of this little girl would appreciate ever hearing about this band.

Frankly, the name doesn't bother me at all. Yes, it's for shock value, or at least it probably was when they got started. Nowadays, they're probably just stuck with it. The band itself has a lot of promise, which is why it's a shame that the name has a tendency to distract from that so much. Still, it's punk rock and hardcore, it's supposed to throw you off a little. If you want friendly names like Jefferson Starship, you're probably looking in the wrong genre of music.

Its really bad taste. I mean, I could care less if you want to call yourselves "The Grandma Ass Rapists from the 3rd Reich", but its not like these guys are GG Allin. It was more their response that pissed me off. I mean, you were being stupid, made a dumb band name, admit it. But they had to try to be clever and say "we want people to remember the name as something beautiful by associating something beautiful with it." I stick to my guns, fuck these guys.
