Pennsylvania's the Commercials have added former members of Equal Vision's Breaking Pangaea to their lineup and have subsequently changed their band name. Under their new moniker, Amarie Coma, the band plans to tour soon and record shortly thereafter. More definite plans should be announced soon.
The Commercials released their debut full length, It's Not What You Say, It's How You Say It, as well as a split with Shadow Agency via Blackout! Records. Breaking Pangaea, who have released albums via both Equal Vision Records and Undecided Records, have had members go on to join Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run. Songs from Amarie Coma can be heard on the band's MySpace page. Blackout! Records (22 comments)

this band was really fucking good when they sounded like strung out + texas is the reason.

Breaking Pangaea was sucky. the drummer had an attitude problem and wasn't that great either for having such an ego... and the only cool guy was fred..till he joined that fucking gayass band he's in now.

The Commercials released their debut full length, It's Not What You Say, It's How You Say It, as well as a split with Shadow Agency via Blackout! Records debut? I thought they had an album or two on Jump Start Records. At least that's where I heard of them 2+ Replies

I commented below..but, their first cd is called First Time For Evrything, in 98. Says it's on Chowda records. But my copy has a different cover, and is on Rent A Pig records. And I think came out before 98. Search them on Interpunk for info. | Features
