. The Satanic Surfers released Taste the Poison in 2005 and are going to be touring Canada as part of the Grind Tour starting in May. For the Canadian dates, guitarist Dana from Venerea will be filling in for Magnus."The last show on our Brazilian tour was also my last show with the band. Over the past six months I've felt that I haven't had the energy and motivation that being in a full time touring band requires. Satanic Surfers has been a huge part of my life since I joined in 1993, and it wasn't an easy decision to make, but I didn't think it was fair to the rest of the band if I wasn't prepared to put as much effort into the band as the others.

Sad news. They were great when i saw them live and i also liked their albums. I wonder who they'll have filling in after the tour

Uh oh. I hope this doesn't signal the end of this band. So many good memories from their music.

That's definitely a downer. Satanic Surfers are amazing. With Magnus gone, who knows what turn this band will take musically. 2+ Replies
