Roger Miret and the Disasters sign to Sailor's Grave, title new record

Sailor's Grave Records have added Roger Miret and the Disasters to their growing stable of acts. The Disasters are a side project of NYC Hardcore legends Agnostic Front frontman Roger Miret. The band plans to release My Riot, their Sailor's Grave debut, in late 2006.

The band's most recent release was 2005's 1984 on Hellcat Records. The band will also be doing a US tour with Brain Failure and The Business from May 4th till June 3rd.

why would Thorp, being such a tiny label as it is, make a subdivision? I understand wanting to put out great records, but aren't they spreading themselves a little too thin? Abacus and Thorp sign a new band every week.

why are all the good bands leaveing epitaph/hellcat for them? or doesn't epitaph put out any good records any more? if DKM sign to them next i'll be about done with epitaph, since them and BR are the only good bands still on there it seems like... plus sage is pretty good too...

they signed to a major before their last album was released.

They're techniclaly still on Epitaph. Warner Bros. distributed Indestructible. The CD case for that record also has the Hellcat logo on it.

Epitaph is going to hell real quick. it's pretty much just BR, the Souls and Pulley at this point. what a shame, they were once my favorite lable hands down.

epitaph without the side labels basically has the Souls, weakerthans and Pulley.. i am ghost is ok

Who? Those only one band really; disasters. Bombshell were on Burning Heart and were dropped by them, which is why Epitaph isn't putting them out.
The chance of DKM signing to SG is slim to none

This band is terrible. My theory is that people are afraid to tell Roger that his singing blows when he tries to do non-hardcore bands.

haha. They have some decent tunes, but I agree, they aren't too good overall. I think this band has some of the worst, most unimaginitive lyrics I've ever heard.

they're getting pretty big and the bands really bring it in.

thorp has a HUGE underground following. so sub-dividing was a good way to take control of certain bands.

plus sailors grave is a cool name hah.
