Swami to release "The Bronx (II)" on vinyl with two bonus tracks, one month early

Swami Records will be releasing the vinyl version of The Bronx (II), the upcoming major label debut from The Bronx on June 20th, 2006. The band adds:

We're very excited about this, as being part of their roster is the stuff of childhood fantasies.

The LP version will include two exclusive tracks, "NYC Rockers" and "Venice." The band is also promising "exquisite" packaging and a pressing on marble wax. The album itself is due out on CD via White Drugs/Island Records. The CD is expected to hit retail on July 18th.

i was listening to joby in an interview the other day and the guy was like "why are you called The Bronx?" and he was like "because we're from L.A." i thought that was a great answer

The Bronx is the kind of band you ought to hate - signed to a major after a dozen shows, recording with Gilby Clarke - but they keep doing cool stuff like this. Between the Drips, Bullet Treatment, Swami Records, the Social Club series and leaking two MP3s, you have to admire them.

i watched it to see what show would have that as the theme song. one of the more enjoyable things on mtv these days. plus they played a few turbonegro songs during the show, always worth a few bonus points

Heart Attack American is the only song from the last record. its a great song. if you can find the whole record to download, check it out. it took me about 6 or 7 full listens before i got into it, but now its one of my favorite records of all time.

saw bronx open at rocket from crypt. bronx awesome very heavy good show really energy. record not so good kind of fuck, but better for most. good for mosh not really.

i don't get why Swami John Reis digs these guys.

They have the energy and the grit, they just don't have
any Songs worth a damn. they're a great idea for a
band and i almost want to like them, but their songs are shit
and i'm bummed that they are going to taint the Swami
catalog with their presence.

Maybe Reis is just more interested in bands that he hopes
will Do something for the label.
