Street Dogs recording in Los Angeles with Ted Hutt

Boston's Street Dogs have taken up residence in Los Angeles as they gear up to record their upcoming third full length. The upcoming release is tentatively titled Not Without a Purpose... Not Without a Fight! and the band is recording with producer Ted Hutt(Flogging Molly, Scotch Greens, Bouncing Souls) A release is expected in September.

. The album is the follow up to Back to the World which was released last year. The band has fifteen new songs as well as a new covers, and Tobe described the songs as "Some good anthems, some old school hardcore, some good old fashioned punk rock barn burners, and a few covers." Among the covers, the band will be recording "Power in a Union" by Billy Bragg.

The band is promising dates in July and August with the Adolescents and a "big tour" in September. Later this month, they have a one-off show planned at Knitting Factory in Los Angeles on Saturday May 27.

In the description of the record Tobe failed to mention that they will continue to rip off the pop punk melodies and songwriting of Bouncing Souls and The Descendents.

haha last time i saw these guys the singer went on and about how people in l.a. were "trendy jaded fucks" and how great Boston is and everything. apparently Boston isn't good enough to record an album

bad religion critisizes aspects of l.a in some of there songs, but they aslo embrace whole heartedly. i've seen them a good 8 times and enver heard them say "come on you fucking trendy jaded l.a. fucks".

also Bad Relligion are from L.A. , they didn't move there like the street dog dude.

maybe they are trying to make a difference where they live. would anyone care or take them serious of they were bitching about how oregon is full of posers. i know i wouldn't...maybe they are trying to raise awareness and how life really is where they live and choose to talk about it. so you don't like a place cause there are some trendy fux there, why would you move? try to make a difference, not shun problems and shrug them off

Street Dogs are the shit and Mike has done more for the state of punk then most of our peers and though i dont understand the west coast logic they alwats play incredible shows and stay and hang out with everyone after the show, more intrigued by our tales then their own...so big ups and look forward to another classic
